Rahul Gandhi's 'life threat

There is a new turn in the case of Congress president Rahul Gandhi's 'life threat'. Congress on Thursday said that he did not write any letter to the Home Ministry saying that Rahul Gandhi's 'life threat' and neither did he complain about it. Earlier, the Home Ministry said in a statement that she did not get any such letter from the Congress side. Actually, media reports said that Congress has written a letter to the Home Ministry regarding the security of Rahul Gandhi. According to this alleged letter, when Rahul was in Amethi on Wednesday, during that time, he had a green laser beam seven times around his head and face. The letter expressed a doubt that it could be of laser beam sniper rifle.

According to media reports, this letter was allegedly written by senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel and Randeep Singh Surjewala. At the same time, the Congress caught sight of this matter and Congress officially came out and it officially clarified its stand. While addressing the media, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that no such letter was written on behalf of the party.

Singhvi said, "No such letter has been written nor any complaint has been made about this. I want to say clearly that the responsibility of security during the election is made to the SPG, the security forces and to some extent the Home Ministry. We know these security agencies are aware of their responsibility and they will provide the same protection as they give to each person who gets SPG protection.

On being asked by Singhvi whether Congress has written a letter to the Home Ministry expressing concern over Rahul Gandhi's security, Singhvi cited the statement of the Home Ministry on this. According to Singhvi, the Home Ministry says that he did not get any letter about this and we are also saying that we did not write any letter to him. Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination from Amethi on Wednesday while on Thursday he was with his mother Sonia Gandhi in Rae Bareli. Sonia filed her form on Thursday from Rae Bareli. Priyanka Gandhi was also present on this occasion.
